Organised by the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), the annual congress is one of Malaysia's premier medical conferences, bringing together healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss emerging advancements, clinical innovations, and the future of healthcare delivery.
The congress provides an important platform for knowledge exchange and strategic collaboration, fostering partnerships that drive improvements in patient care, preventive medicine, and healthcare innovation. As molecular diagnostics continues to play an increasingly significant role in precision medicine, MMAC serves as an ideal venue for showcasing technologies that support earlier disease detection and improved clinical outcomes.
During the congress, MyRNA had the privilege of briefing YBhg. Datuk Dr. Mahathar bin Abd Wahab, Director-General of Health Malaysia, on the company's ongoing efforts to advance early cancer detection through innovative microRNA-based diagnostic technologies.
The discussion centred on the clinical applications of LUNGClear and GASTROClear, MyRNA's proprietary blood-based molecular screening solutions designed to support the early identification of individuals at risk of lung and gastric cancers. The engagement highlighted the growing importance of minimally invasive molecular diagnostics in complementing existing clinical pathways and enabling timely intervention before diseases progress to advanced stages.
